3 Days, 2 Nights Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Tsavo & Afternoon Game Drive
- 08:00 AM – 08:30 AM: Check-in at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Arrive at Wilson Airport for a short domestic flight to the nearest airstrip in Tsavo West (either Voi or Taveta airstrip, depending on flight availability).
- 09:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Flight from Nairobi to Tsavo. Enjoy a scenic flight over the Kenyan landscape, catching glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Chyulu Hills, and Tsavo’s vast wilderness.
- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Arrival at the airstrip. Upon arrival, a representative from Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge will meet you for the road transfer to the lodge (about 1.5 hours).
- 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Check-in and lunch at Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge. Receive a warm welcome with refreshments and a briefing about the lodge. Settle into your room and enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the expansive plains of the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary.
- 01:00 PM – 03:30 PM: Leisure and relaxation. Relax in your room, enjoy the views from your private deck, or unwind by the lodge’s lounge area.
- 03:30 PM – 06:30 PM: Afternoon game drive. Embark on your first game drive through the sanctuary. Explore the diverse ecosystem of the area, which is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, and otherwildlife. End the evening with sundowner drinks in the bush as the sun sets over the savannah.
- 07:00 PM – 08:30 PM: Dinner at the lodge. A gourmet dinner under the stars, featuring a fusion of local and international dishes.
- 08:30 PM onwards: Evening relaxation. Relax by the bonfire or stargaze from your private deck. Overnight at Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge.
- 05:30 AM – 06:00 AM: Early wake-up and light refreshments.
- 06:00 AM – 09:00 AM: Sunrise game drive. Set out for a sunrise game drive in the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary. Early mornings are the best time to spot predators like lions and cheetahs, as well as elephants and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast.
- 09:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Breakfast at the lodge.
- 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Guided nature walk or optional Maasai village visit. Join a guided nature walk with a Maasai guide to learn about the flora, fauna, and bird species of the area. Alternatively, visit a nearby Maasai village to experience their unique culture and traditions.
- 12:30 PM – 01:30 PM: Lunch at the lodge.
- 01:30 PM – 03:30 PM: Leisure and relaxation. Take time to relax at the lodge, swim, or enjoy a spa treatment (if available).
- 03:30 PM – 06:30 PM: Afternoon game drive. Head out for an afternoon game drive to explore more of the sanctuary. Search for the “Big Five” and other wildlife, as well as stunning landscapes including Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance. End the drive with sundowners in the bush.
- 07:00 PM – 08:30 PM: Dinner at the lodge.
- 08:30 PM onwards: Optional night game drive or relaxing evening. Opt for a night safari (if available) to spot nocturnal wildlife, or spend the evening relaxing at the lodge. Overnight at Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge.
- 05:30 AM – 06:00 AM: Early wake-up and light refreshments.
- 06:00 AM – 08:30 AM: Final sunrise game drive. One last chance to explore the Lumo Community Sanctuary, spotting wildlife in the early morning light.
- 08:30 AM – 09:30 AM: Breakfast at the lodge.
- 09:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Pack and check-out. After breakfast, pack up and say goodbye to the lodge staff.
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Transfer to the airstrip.
- 12:30 PM – 01:30 PM: Flight back to Nairobi (Wilson Airport). Board your flight back to Nairobi, enjoying scenic views during the journey.
- 01:30 PM – 02:00 PM: Arrival in Nairobi. Upon landing in Nairobi, your safari concludes.
