About Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.
Day 1: Nairobi to Sarova Shaba Game Lodge (Approx. 5-6 hrs drive)
- 6:00 AM – Departure from Nairobi.
Meet your safari group in Nairobi. Board a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle for the scenic drive to Shaba National Reserve.
Enjoy the company of fellow travelers as you journey through the stunning Kenyan landscape, passing Mount Kenya and rural towns.
- 10:00 AM – Stopover in Nanyuki (Optional)
Quick break for refreshments or a photo stop at the Equator crossing point.
- 12:00 PM – Arrival at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.
Arrive at the lodge and check into your shared or individual rooms.
You’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and a brief orientation of the lodge.
- 1:00 PM – Lunch at the Lodge
Savor a delicious buffet lunch with your group at the lodge’s open-air dining area overlooking the river.
- 3:30 PM – Shared Evening Game Drive.
Join your fellow travelers for an exciting group game drive.
Explore the diverse wildlife of Shaba National Reserve, home to elephants, Grevy’s zebras, giraffes, and more.
Share the thrill of spotting animals in the wild and enjoy the beautiful landscape of rolling hills and acacia woodlands. - 6:30 PM – Return to the Lodge for Dinner.
Unwind with dinner at the lodge.
Swap stories with your group and make new friends as you enjoy a blend of local and international dishes.
- 6:30 AM – Morning Game Drive with Group.
Early morning is the best time for wildlife viewing.
Set out with your group on a shared morning game drive, keeping an eye out for predators like lions and cheetahs.
- 9:00 AM – Breakfast at the Lodge.
After your morning adventure, return for breakfast at the lodge while overlooking the beautiful Ewaso Nyiro River.
- 10:30 AM – Free Time or Optional Group Activities.
Spend the late morning relaxing by the pool, socializing with your group, or taking part in optional activities such as a guided nature walk or bird watching.
- 1:00 PM – Group Lunch at the Lodge.
Enjoy lunch with your safari companions, fueling up for the afternoon’s adventure.
- 3:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive to Buffalo Springs.
Join your group for an afternoon game drive to the nearby Buffalo Springs National Reserve. This area is known for its unique landscape and large elephant herds. Don’t forget to share your photos and tips with the group!
- 6:30 PM – Sundowner with Group.
End the day with a shared sundowner experience by the river or at a scenic viewpoint, where you can relax with drinks and light snacks while watching the sunset. - 7:30 PM – Dinner at the Lodge.
Gather with the group for a final dinner at the lodge. The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for reflecting on the day’s highlights and getting to know your fellow travelers better.

Have a leisurely breakfast, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the lodge before your journey back to Nairobi.
- 8:30 AM – Optional Group Nature Walk.

- 10:00 AM – Check-out and Departure.
Check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi with your group.
Enjoy the camaraderie as you share your favourite safari moments on the way back.
- 1:00 PM – Lunch En Route.
Stop in Nanyuki or another scenic location for a shared group lunch before continuing your drive.
- 4:00 PM – Arrival in Nairobi.
Arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon, saying goodbye to your fellow adventurers after an incredible 3-day safari.
