Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Departure and Arrival at Salt Lick Safari Lodge

  1. Take the early morning Madaraka Express train from Nairobi to Voi. The journey typically takes around 5-6 hours.
  2. Transfer from Voi Train Station to Salt Lick Safari Lodge (approximately 1- 1.5 hours by road).
  3. Check in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Refresh and settle into your accommodation.
  4. Enjoy a meal at the lodge.
  5. Head out for an evening game drive in Tsavo East National Park.
  6. Dinner at the lodge and relax in the common areas or on the elevated viewing platforms.

Day 2: Full Day Safari

  1. Start with an early morning game drive to experience the wildlife in the
    cooler hours.
  2. Return to the lodge for breakfast.
  3. Enjoy the lodge’s facilities such as the pool or viewing platforms.
  4. Lunch at the lodge.
  5. Head out for another game drive to explore different areas of Tsavo East.
  6. Return to the lodge for dinner. Relax and enjoy the evening.

Day 3: Relaxation and Return

  1. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge.
  2. Spend your final hours at the lodge, enjoying the views and facilities.
  3. Check out and transfer back to Voi Train Station.
  4. Take the afternoon Madaraka Express train back to Nairobi.
  5. Arrive back in Nairobi in the evening and end your trip.
